जब भी हम सड़क पर truck, bus, auto rickshaw, या delivery van देखते हैं — वो सब Commercial Vehicles हैं। लेकिन commercial vehicle की exact definition क्या है? India में इनके कितने types हैं? इनके लिए अलग license क्यों चाहिए? आइए सब कुछ simple language में समझते हैं।
Commercial Vehicle क्या होता है?
जो vehicle business या commercial purpose के लिए use हो — goods transport करने या passengers carry करने से income generate हो — वह commercial vehicle है। Personal use की गाड़ी और commercial vehicle में यही फर्क है।
Motor Vehicles Act 1988 के अनुसार commercial vehicles को “Transport Vehicles” कहा जाता है और इनके लिए special registration, license और insurance जरूरी है।
Commercial Vehicle के Main Types
1. Light Commercial Vehicles (LCV) — 3.5 से 7.5 टन GVW: Mini trucks, pickup trucks और minivans इस category में आते हैं। Tata Ace Gold (Chhota Hathi), Mahindra Bolero Pickup, Maruti Super Carry — ये India के most popular LCVs हैं। City deliveries और last-mile logistics के लिए best।
2. Medium Commercial Vehicles (MCV) — 7.5 से 12 टन GVW: Medium load carrying के लिए। Intercity goods transport में use होते हैं।
3. Heavy Commercial Vehicles (HCV) — 12 टन से ऊपर GVW: Heavy duty trucks, tippers, tankers और trailers। Tata Signa, BharatBenz, Ashok Leyland Prima — ये India के top HCV brands हैं। 160 HP से 500 HP तक power। Price ₹25 लाख से शुरू।
4. Passenger Commercial Vehicles — Buses और Taxis: School buses, city buses, intercity coaches, cab aggregator cars (Ola, Uber)। इनके लिए commercial registration और transport license जरूरी है।
5. Three Wheelers — Auto Rickshaw और Cargo Tempo: Urban passenger transport में सबसे common। Electric three wheelers जैसे Mahindra Treo Zor last-mile delivery में बढ़ रहे हैं।
6. Special Purpose Vehicles: Tippers (construction), Transit Mixers (cement), Tankers (liquid), Refrigerated trucks (perishable goods), Ambulances। ये specific industries के लिए designed हैं।
Commercial Vehicle के लिए क्या चाहिए?
Transport License (Commercial DL): Regular DL से अलग। LCV के लिए LMV-Transport License। HCV के लिए HMV (Heavy Motor Vehicle) license। इसके लिए driving test और medical certificate जरूरी है।
Commercial Registration: Yellow number plate — यह commercial vehicle की पहचान है। Personal vehicle की white plate से बिल्कुल अलग।
Commercial Insurance: Third party insurance minimum जरूरी है। Goods carrying vehicles के लिए goods-in-transit insurance भी recommended है।
Fitness Certificate: Commercial vehicles का हर साल fitness test जरूरी है — VAHAN portal पर booking होती है।
Route Permit: State और national routes के लिए अलग-अलग permits।
India में Commercial Vehicle Market 2026
India दुनिया का 4th largest commercial vehicle market है। Tata Motors, Ashok Leyland, Mahindra और Eicher — ये top CV manufacturers हैं। India में लगभग 56 लाख trucks सड़क पर हैं। Small commercial vehicles की price ₹58,000 से शुरू होती है।
2026 में EV commercial vehicles तेजी से बढ़ रहे हैं — Tata Ace EV, Mahindra Treo Zor EV जैसे vehicles last-mile delivery को बदल रहे हैं।
Commercial Vehicle Loan कैसे लें?
SBI, HDFC, Mahindra Finance, ICICI Bank — सब commercial vehicle loans देते हैं। Down payment आमतौर पर 10-20%। Loan tenure 3-5 साल। Interest rate 8-14% के बीच। New vehicle पर पुराने से ज्यादा loan मिलता है — और higher resale value भी।
Personal Vehicle vs Commercial Vehicle — Key Differences
Personal vehicle में white number plate होती है, personal use होता है और regular DL से चला सकते हैं। Commercial vehicle में yellow number plate होती है, business purpose होता है, transport license चाहिए, fitness certificate और route permit जरूरी है — insurance premium भी ज्यादा होता है।
